Mercedes-Benz join forces with Flava -PRESS RELEASE

MERCEDES-BENZ PROMOTE ANTI-BULLYING MESSAGE

As part of their on-going campaign to get involved with local community projects,
Mercedes-Benz Retail has joined forces with 2008 Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists, dance troupe, Flava on their ‘b inspired’ tour. The initiative aims to engage young people through dance: Flava will travel the width and breadth of the country, visiting thousands of children in primary and secondary schools across the UK, in their Viano people carrier, provided by
Mercedes-Benz Retail.

The initiative aims to inspire children to enjoy interests, build confidence and kindle self-identity as well as tackle key issues such as: bullying, anti-social behaviour, gang crime, violence, drink and drugs.

Mercedes-Benz Retail Managing Director, Neil Williamson said, “Mercedes-Benz Retail is delighted to be supporting Flava on this worthwhile and inspirational tour. Promoting these key messages to the youth of today is just one way that Mercedes-Benz Retail aims to give something back to local communities.”

“Being bullied and fear of bullying is a huge concern for young people and parents alike, so it is great to see a company such as Mercedes-Benz Retail supporting Flava’s work,” said Sergeant Bob Dubar, from the Metropolitan Police. “Regular bullying can be associated with problems later in life, so raising awareness of the consequences of bullying and promoting safety and responsibility amongst young people in the community will have a positive impact on society.”
