MERCEDES-BENZ RETAIL SUPPORT EAST LONDON’S YOUTH WITH FLAVA Contemporary dance troupe Flava who were propelled to fame by reaching the semi-finals of ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent in 2008, concluded their ‘b inspired’ tour of East London on Friday 10 July at Brampton Primary School, Newham. Flava, supported by Mercedes-Benz Retail, were awarded the honorary Philip Lawrence Award in December 2008 which recognises teenagers who make a positive contribution to their communities.

As part of their on-going campaign to get involved with local community projects,
Mercedes-Benz Retail has joined forces with 2008 Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists, dance troupe, Flava on their ‘b inspired’ tour. The initiative aims to engage young people through dance: Flava will travel the width and breadth of the country, visiting thousands of children in primary and secondary schools across the UK, in their Viano people carrier, provided by
Mercedes-Benz Retail.

YOUNGSTERS STEP TO THE BEAT

Flava, a Hip Hop dance troupe who reached the semi-finals of ITV’s Britain's Got Talent last year, are working with police to run an exciting dance workshop to inspire youngsters in Falmouth and Penryn.

The Cornish dance group, who recently received a Philip Lawrence honorary award for their outstanding contribution to the community, is working with young people to build confidence through dance.

The ‘B Inspired’ workshop took place at The Dracaena Centre, Falmouth on Saturday 2 May and Sunday 3 May.
