Here are several testimonials from people we have worked with/inspired in the past and present:-

Maggie Dunne - Ben Jonson Primary School - Tower Hamlets

I just wanted to let you know how much we loved having the guys with us on Friday. They were fantastic and the kids (and staff) thoroughly enjoyed the day. It’s such a fantastic, and valuable, workshop and all the members of the group were just great with the kids.
The children were engaged and inspired throughout and they were discussing and exploring important and relevant issues that they encounter in society. It was a shame we were pushed for time but it all still went smoothly. So a huge thank you.
Now that you have been in and everyone has seen how amazing you are I think I might be able to get the funding to book again for other year groups in the future.
Thanks once again and if there is anything our school can do support you or promote you just let me know. I would be more than happy to recommend you to other schools.

Julie -Wizz Kids – St Austell

Just wanted to express how fantastic a day we had with Flava yesterday!! They were Fab with the kids and amazing with their performing.  The kids had an awesome time and have amazing feedback from the audience.  A quote from Aiden one of our dance members “I wish the day could have lasted forever!” It was everything and more than what they were expecting and so excited about for months.

I have already planned and choreographed our next dance which is going to be called ‘passion’ which is based around the inspiration Flava gave the kids.

What we would like to do now is go around and perform and raise a good amount of money from various things so that we can afford to do a whole workshop with Flava again and the kids can learn some more amazing skills.

Paul Schofield – Blackburn and Darwen Police

Could you just please thank the guys again from Vicky and myself for one of the best weekends ever both professionally and personally. The whole 3 days was a complete success and excellent value for money. What a collection of charming, patient, intelligent, articulate and enthusiastic young people. By the end of Sunday afternoon’s workshop wehad run out of superlatives to describe FLAVA.

The feedback we have received from the schools has been nothing but positive. Perhaps the biggest indicator of how well FLAVA were received occurred at Witton Park High school on Friday afternoon. At approximately 1430hrs the workshop finished and a decision was made by the staff to let the kids go home early, school usually finishes at 1500hrs. Not one of the estimated 100 children chose to go early. All instead waited back for autographs, photo’s and a general chat with FLAVA way past their usual finishing time. Similarly despite having very  little sleep and taking two workshops FLAVA chose to stay back and participate in the afterschool dance club until past 1600hrs. Not only that  whilst following me back in the car to the hotel Jen and Becky could clearly be seen dancing to the radio when stationary at the traffic lights.

What else can I say. A very special group of young people who are deeply passionate about what they do. We will definitely be working with them again.

Bob Dubar – Metropolitan Police

I first met Flava on Friday 10th October 2008, when I was able to watch them audition for the Philip Lawrence awards. From that initial viewing I was blown away by the talent displayed by each member of the group. From that initial experience I knew that there was massive potential for the Police in working with the group to reach and protect young people. I am pleased to say that to date I have not been disappointed.

The group are always eager to please and the enthusiasm and energy of the group is as consistent at the beginning as it is throughout the whole programme. In Newham together we developed a programme called ‘b inspired’ which was developed to be delivered in association with police forces and local authorities within youth communities and disadvantaged areas. The programme aims to engage young people and inspire them to enjoy interests, build confidence and kindle identity. In doing this the group assists communities where crime and anti social behaviour are apparent.

This dance and discussion based programme which caters for two different age groups, Primary and Secondary tackles the issue of bullying, anti social behaviours and other negative influences. The transition year groups were chosen as it was felt these pupils were most significantly at risk. The project raises awareness of bullying and peer pressure whilst promoting safety amongst young people. The project aims to build confidence, engage young people, promote self esteem and kindle identity.

On each occasion the Group delivered this workshop it was received with high praise from both staff and students. This is due directly to the passion and commitment displayed by the each member of the team, both working together and then individually with small groups of pupils. From surveys conducted with staff and students after projects it is clear to realise the impact these young people can have on our next generations.

Flava are due to work within Newham again this year and I am sure that they will continue to impact and influence our community in a positive way. I have enjoyed my time working with these special people.

That’s what F L A V A means to me ☺!!! Working with you guys is really Xtasy Team’s  pleasure.. Being with FLAVA for 4 days in Abu Dhabi makes me feel like a Professional Events organizer;  I Learned that “I should work from the heart…not looking how to make an event perfect but aiming how People appreciate the outcome of the said EVENT…”  and that’s priceless…

More power and continue all your good works… See you soon.

Lyndsey Skinner – Hall For Cornwall – Truro

I can’t tell you how brilliant I thought everyone was, what a pleasure they all were to work with and the mobs were just FANTASTIC. Everyone was professional, lovely and all had such a brilliant attitude. You must be really proud (I know I was on Sat by just being able to work with them).

I had so much fun!

Can you tell them – thank you so much!!! From me.

Yvonne Bray – Mother who arranged for Flava to perform at her daughters prom in Bideford.

I just wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you to you all for putting on such an amazing show.  You guys were awesome and the kids were totally buzzing all night.  You have a fantastic job being able to create such positive and animated reactions from teenagers at what can be a troublesome age at times.

Apart from the obvious talent that you all have as dancers, the most outstanding comments from the youngsters was how LOVELY you all are as people….there was an outpouring of admiration and affection from absolutely everyone (including staff at the hotel and teachers by the way, not just the youngsters).  I hope you know what a difference you make to these young people and I for one am willing to do anything to help you guys continue with your fantastic work.

As you know there are many many dance groups and various other agencies working with young people out there, but you guys have somethingelse…charisma, charm and manners.  Being a good dancer can be taught, being a good person is inane.  The combination is explosive and you guys HAVE IT!!!  You should be so proud of yourselves.

Scarlett Entertainment – A Client who Booked Flava Through This Agency

Flava were really well received, feedback from employees was all positive and their performance was fantastic. They finale worked perfectly, everyone was on the dance floor quickly and Flava stayed around for a while after the performance getting everyone up dancing which was great! Also, they were all very lovely people, friendly and professional - I would highly recommend them!
